On 25th October 2023, a Neurosurgery team from Bethune Medical Development Association of Canada (BMDAC), Prof Vitor Mendes Pereira., Prof. Liu Jihua and Prof. Johnson Kin-Hung Yung visited Binzhou Medical University Hospital (BMUH) for two-day academic exchange.

Vice President Wang Yujiu met with the guests. He pointed out that after three years’ epidemic, this visit certainly played an important role in promoting the development and construction of the discipline in BMUH. It would be an opportunity to share technology and experience, and strengthen multi-level and multi-field cooperation between the two sides, such as conduct extensive and in-depth discussions on surgical operations, difficult cases, scientific research and disciplinary development.

After the meeting, Prof. Pereira and his team visited the Emergency Department, Pharmacy, Neurosurgery Clinic, Clinical Training Center and other departments of the hospital. The expert team spoke highly of the management mode, medical treatment process, international exchanges of BMUH.

 

In the following day, BMUH and BMDAC Neurosurgery team jointly held a difficult case discussion and carried out in-depth exchanges. They participated in three operations with the joint efforts. All of the operations had achieved complete success and postoperative results.

 

The experts team also delivered a series of academic lectures to shared the latest research results and clinical experience in the field of neurosurgery.
