From August 19th to 23th, at the invitation of Bethune Medical Development Association of Canada (BMDAC), Li Jianmin, President of BMUH, led his delegation to Toronto and Montreal, Canada, for a five-day friendship visit and attended Sino-Canadian Medical Academic Exchange.
In Toronto, the delegation met with Lee Errett, President of BMDAC, Zhou Yuan, Deputy President of BMDAC, David Dai, Secretary of BMDAC, Wang Lingguang, Chief Representative of the BMDAC to China, and Professor Liu Mingyao, Director of the Medical Research Academy of Toronto University, and visited Toronto General Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital. At the meeting, the BMDAC expressed its approval for the outstanding performances BMUH had achieved in the Canadian-Sino medical academic exchanges in the recent years and granted our hospital an award in recognition of our outstanding contribution to the mutual exchange. Based on the previous academic exchanges, they agreed on the establishment of a technique-based cooperative hospital in October, 2018, and professional exchange and cooperation. They also reached a consensus on carrying out clinical and scientific research training and long-term cooperation.
