Professor Zhang Kai was elected a vice chairman of functional reconstruction and external fixation committee(FREFC) in China Association of Assistive ProductsCAAP.
On July 16 2016, China rehabilitation aids association functional reconstruction and external fixation committee was founded by CAAP in Beijing and attended by more than 200 representatives. At the conference, Professor Zhang Kai was elected vice chairman, which indicates the academic capability of orthopedic trauma at our hospital has been widely acknowledged by domestic counterparts.
CAAP is a nationally professional and nonprofit social organization founded by experts who major in orthopedic, functional reconstruction surgery, rehabilitation aids, biomedical engineering, etc. It aims at “generalizing functional reconstruction technique, promoting coordinate subject development and benefiting the disabled”. It pays much attention to “integration of medical science and practice and interdisciplinary cooperation”. Therefore, its board consists of experts from functional reconstruction surgery, microsurgery, clinical rehabilitation, rehabilitation aids, medical engineering research, medical management and so on.
