As a comprehensive department, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Binzhou Medical University Hospital (BMUH) has exhaustive technologies and provides excellent services. Established in 1977, our medical team have always adhered to the tradition of “being united, diligent, rigorous and pragmatic”, and has grown into the clinical center of obstetrical and gynecological diseases in and around the Yellow River Delta. We were approved by the Health Bureau of Shandong Province in 2013 for the key provincial clinical discipline. Our department attaches importance to the training of residents and attending physicians, encouraging young scholars to apply for scientific research subjects, thus enhancing the overall quality of our medical staff. Among the five supporting plans from 2013 to 2016 --- Hospital-level Key Clinical Discipline, Scientific Research and Innovation Team, Teaching Innovation Team, Discipline Leaders, Young Physician Training Program, our department have got supports from every one of them and we were highly recognized from hospital leaders and specialists.
Gynecology
Ever since 16 years ago, the department has been one of the earliest launching laparoscopic surgery, including hysterectomy, myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, deeply infiltrating endometriosis resection, uterine prolapse corrective surgery and a wide variety of ectopic pregnancy surgery. We have set up and improved the quality control and eva luation system of oncologic wards and have launched many basic researches of gynecologic oncology, regularizing and systemizing malignant tumor surgeries and their overall treatmentand winning approval from our peers in this field. We dependently accomplished laparoscopic extended radical surgery of cervical cancer, endometrial and ovarian staging surgery under the leadership of Professor Zhiqiang Liu from July,2014. By now, our laparoscopic surgery rate has already reached more than 65%.
Obstetrics
Our medical team fully embodies the purpose of keeping safety of mother & child and we carry out a series of holistic therapy. Perinatal care and guidance, health education, psychological consultation, determination of neonatal behavior and neurological system are vital parts of this therapy. So far, painless childbirth greatly relieves maternal anxiety and fear and meets our goal of humanized treatment and nursing.
Outpatient Clinic
We prepare a wide variety of courses for pregnant women to propaganda how to have reasonable diet, when to do prenatal cares and what to prepare around puerperium. We also implement general anaesthesia artificial abortion, drug abortion, hydrotubation, intrauterine device placing surgery.
