Nephrology
Established in 1988the Department of Nephrology at Binzhou Medical University Hospital (BMUH) includes 1 clinic, 1 ward, 1 hemodialysis room and 1 peritoneal dialysis room. It is a key discipline of Shandong province. Over the past twenty years, it has become the center for consultation, prevention and treatment of various kidney diseases in the Yellow River Delta. It is currently staffed with 20 doctors and 31 nurses, among whom there is 1 professor, 5 associate professors. 6 members of its staff have achieved doctoral degrees, and 6 have achieved master’s degrees.
Our clinicians care for diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and IgA nephropathy, interstitial nephritis, pyelonephritis, acute and chronic renal failureand we are specially good at treating secondary nephropathy like diabetic nephropathy, lupus nephritis, hepatitis B associated glomerulonephritis, allergic purpura nephritis, hypertensive renal damage, etc.
The newly renovated hemodialysis room is equipped with Gambro AK95S hemodialysis machine and Gambro AK96 hemodialysis machine from NYSE: BAX, Fresenius 4008B and Fresenius 4008S Hemodialysis machine from Germany. In addition, it has a Fresenius Medical Care Multifitrate to conduct the continuous renal replacement therapyCRRT, over 15,000 treatments are carried out every year. At the same time satisfactory effects were achieved in the treatment of blood purification for all kinds of drugs and toxic poisoning patients. Our staff are skilled in peritoneal dialysis to let the patients who cannot accept the more effective alternative therapy receive hemodialysis.
Our department is a standardization training base for kidney disease in the Yellow River Delta region. In order to guarantee a sustainable developmentwe always pay great attention to personnel training. We have held a series of academic conferences like The Yellow River Delta Blood Purification Forum, Binzhou Annual Renal Disease Conference.
In addition to keeping in line with the international standards in prevention and treatment, we also pay great attention to scientific research and focus on the study of replacement therapy for renal diseases.
