The Department of Ultrasonic Medicine of Binzhou Medical University Hospital was founded in 2009. The director of the department is Professor CUI Guanghe and the vice director is Associate Professor GAO Yanbing.

 

There are 2 professors, 2 associate professors, 10 attending physicians, 19 residents, 1 technologist and 16 nurses in our department. 28 doctors have master’s degree and 3 doctors are on-the-job study for a M.D. It is a rigorous medical team.

 

In our department there are 19 pieces of color ultrasonic diagnostic equipment. Currently our department's main business areas includes the ultrasonic diagnosis of the abdomen, gynecology, obstetrics, superficial organs and peripheral vascular diseases. The diagnosis and treatment of interventional ultrasound are at a leading level in our province. In recent years, we have applied many new technologies, such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound, real-time ultrasonic elastography, multiple image fusion imaging and transvaginal four-dimensional hysterosalpingo-contrast-sonography.

 

We have undertaken 1 project from Shandong Natural Science Fund, 1 science and technology program from Shandong Family Planning and Health Commission.

 

We have recruited postgraduate students of imaging and nuclear medicine since 2011. We assume the ultrasonography teaching task of five-year undergraduates and nursing students. Since 2006, we have conducted ultrasonographic training classes twice a year for CME doctors, and have brought up a large number of sonographers for Shandong province, making a positive contribution to the popularization of ultrasonic diagnosis.
